Questions Buyers Ask
Frequently asked questions
Everything buyers ask before the first order — samples, lead time, MOQ, materials, and shipping.
Can I get a free sample?
Yes. We supply a free working sample made to your drawing or from your worn blade — standard, oversized, extra-thick, or solid carbide all included. You only cover the freight. No spec is too big.
I don’t have a drawing. Can you still make it?
Yes. Ship us the worn or broken blade you’re already using. We reverse-engineer the geometry, return a drawing with GD&T, then a free sample. Many of our first orders start this way.
Do you hold stock, or can I buy from stock?
No — every blade is made to order, to your drawing or from your worn sample. We do not keep finished blades on the shelf, because a blade only works when the geometry matches your machine. That is also why every order starts with a drawing check or a sample. If you need blades on hand to avoid downtime, order a spare set with your production run — we keep the drawing on file and can make the same part again without re-measuring.
What is your lead time?
Standard production lead is 30 days, counted from the day you approve the drawing — not from the day you enquire. Rush orders can be discussed. Samples ship in 7–10 days.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Production MOQ is 100 pcs. But there’s no reason to commit to 100 before you’ve proven the blade — request a free sample first and put it on your machine.
What happens after I send a drawing?
Within 24 hours you get a drawing check and a quotation with the steel grade and the lead times. You approve the drawing, we make a free sample in 7–10 days, and production runs 30 days from that approval. The full ordering process walks through each step, including where orders usually slow down.
How fast do you quote?
Within 24 hours of receiving your drawing or sample details. The quote states material, sample lead, and production lead — on paper, not vague.
What materials do you use?
D2 / SKD11 tool steel, HSS, food-grade stainless, and solid carbide — chosen to match your web, speed, and abrasive load.
What does the free sample cost me?
Only international freight (freight collect). The blade itself is free, with no spec cap — oversized, extra-thick, or carbide included.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. Blades ship worldwide from Shenzhen, China, by the freight method you choose. Sample freight is typically collected.
Which blade types do you make?
24 common families — mask machine blades, hygiene machine blades, nonwoven slitting blades, pneumatic air scissors, circular slitter, top slitter knives, bottom slitter knives, circular knives, straight knives, shear/guillotine, granulator/pelletizer, shredder, zig-zag knives and anvils, serrated, paper trim, foam/foil, rubber/plastic, food, textile, tobacco, wood/panel saws, leather, medical/pharma, and packaging. See blades by type.
Looking for a specific machine? The mask machine blade size chart and the air scissors head models answer the two questions we get most.
Ready to test a blade on your machine?
Send a drawing or a worn blade. Free sample, you cover the freight.
