Food processing blades built to your spec

Our custom food processing blades are made from food-grade stainless to your exact profile, edge, and finish. Whether you slice meat, cheese, or produce, we match the blade your line needs — and we can reverse engineer the blade from your worn sample if the drawing is gone.

Materials we cut from

  • D2 / SKD11 — high-wear tool steel for long production runs.
  • HSS — heat-resistant edges for higher surface speeds.
  • Stainless — food- and pharma-grade lines.
  • Solid carbide — maximum edge life on abrasive materials.

Why buyers switch their blades to HIBO

Free sample (you cover freight), a 24-hour quote, and a 30-day production lead — versus the 35–45 days most overseas suppliers quote.

Typical applications

Meat and poultry slicing, cheese and deli cutting, vegetable and fruit processing, and bakery and confectionery lines. If your line processes food, we supply the industrial cutting blade for it.

What the geometry has to get right

On food equipment, geometry is a cleaning question as much as a cutting one. Every corner, recess and fixing hole is somewhere product can sit between shifts. A blade that cuts well but traps residue will be rejected by the hygiene team, so the profile is designed around what can be cleaned, not only around what cuts fastest.

Surface finish matters too. A polished face sheds product; a rough one holds it — and holding product against the blade is how corrosion starts.

Where a food blade fails

  • Rust starting in the fixing holes. Water sits there after wash-down. Grade or passivation, not sharpening.
  • Edge dulls within days on acidic or salty product. Corrosion-assisted wear; hardness alone will not fix it.
  • Chips on frozen or bone-in product. Impact. The edge needs toughness and a more robust bevel.
  • Product building up on the face. Surface finish or relief angle.

How we match an existing food blade

Send the worn blade. We record profile, edge angle, fixing pattern and surface finish, and send the drawing back for confirmation. Tell us the wash-down chemicals and what the product is — those two facts decide the grade more than the drawing does.

Food blade questions

Can you work to a grade I specify?

Yes. Give us the grade and, if you have it, the standard it must meet. We confirm whether we can supply to it before you order — we do not claim compliance we have not verified.

Can you supply small quantities for a trial?

Yes. That is what the free sample is for.
